Communio is a non-profit organization that partners with churches to help them with evangelization and discipleship of marriages and relationships.
Why are we doing this?
Marriage and family is the foundation of society and therefore the foundation of the Church. Yet statistics show that almost half of marriages end in divorce or separation. Many others (approximately 25% of a typical congregation and 45% of the larger community in general) are likely to have a marriage in need, dating roadblocks, or express difficulties in relationships. In response to these realities, Communio is here to help.
How Communio will assist us:
• Using digital and mail outreach to invite members of our community to the parish.
• Host ongoing events and experiences that build friendships within our parish and others in the community.
• Implementing new skills-based ministries that help people in all stages of life whether you’re single, dating, engaged or married – to strengthen
relationships.
Before we launch this new initiative, our first big step as a parish staff is to understand the unique relationship needs of our parishioners and those in the surrounding community. This will help us select the right events, experiences, and ministries for the coming months and years.
The Survey:
The survey only takes about 90 seconds. The greater participation we have, the more valuable the data will be for us in developing ministries to meet the needs of our community. The survey link will be available through Sunday, June 12th at midnight.
